Can you fly electric outside?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I just realized that I did not aske the main question. I am looking at either the CX2 or the Quark, but can you fly these puppies outside? Also, I know I need to get a SIM and am caught between the Phoenix or the G4? Any experience from a beginners standpoint. I have a relatively powerful laptop with very good graphics card (Lenovo T61) and both should work. Found a local hobby store too not too far away - going there in a couple of hours.

Hope I am answering in time. And I don’t think any questions are dumb at all, in fact I used to ask pretty much the same things when I first started out. About weather the CX2 and the Quark can fly outdoors. The answer is yes as long as it’s not too windy out. RC helicopters have now come a long way and most of them are designed to be pretty wind-resistant. If you fly something like the T-REX then it can stand the wind pretty well. I’ve fly both the CX-2 and the Quark and I have to say they both can stand the wind of I say up to 5MPH. The manual says no more than 3MPH wind but I’ve personally flown it in heavier wind than that and it holds out fine. Of the two helis (CX2 and Quark) I suggest you go for the Quark if you have the budget. I’ve flown a lot of helis from nitro to T-REX to CX-2 and Walkers to the Quark and I have to say that the Quark flies like a small nitro heli.. In fact, it’s even more stable than some nitro ones. I know it’s a bit pricey but it’s really worth the tag. As for the simulators, both the Phoenix and the Realflight are great. The thing is, if you get Realflight you can download a lot more aircraft from their swap page. But as for physics engine and things like that I think you’re evenly matched.
